Data and purposes

When you contact ERD, we process the details you provide (company, name, email and optional telephone number), your enquiry, technical references and any drawings you choose to attach. We use this information to assess your requirements, prepare a quotation and reply to you. Required fields are identified in the form; without them we cannot process the enquiry. Other fields and the drawing are optional. Send only information relevant to your project and documents you are authorised to share.

Legal bases

Steps taken at your request with a view to a contract are based on pre-contractual measures. If you act for a business, professional correspondence is based on ERD’s legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and managing business relationships. Website security measures are based on the legitimate interest in protecting the service. Acknowledging this policy does not constitute consent to marketing.

Recipients and service providers

Enquiries are sent to ERD and accessible to authorised people handling them. Easyhost provides hosting; technical and email service providers are involved as required to supply their services. Any sharing of technical information with a partner to develop a solution must be limited to what is necessary and respect project confidentiality. Contact details are not sold.

Retention of enquiries and drawings

Enquiries and drawings that do not lead to further business are retained for 30 days after the last exchange, then deleted by ERD from active records and email. If the business relationship continues, only information needed for the project, its follow-up and applicable obligations is kept for the relevant period. Data may be retained longer where necessary to meet a legal obligation or defend a right. Backup rotation follows service provider settings; archived data is not intended for routine commercial use.

Files and security

The form accepts one PDF, STEP/STP, DWG or DXF drawing up to 8 MB. Attachments are processed temporarily for transmission by email and are not added to a public gallery. ERD must also apply its retention rule to received emails and attachments. Hosting logs may contain an IP address, date and requested resources for operation, incident diagnosis and security. Their retention depends on those technical needs and hosting settings; further information is available from the contact above.

Cookies and external services

No advertising or audience analytics tool has been added to the current website. Login, administration and security functions may use necessary technical cookies. Language selection uses website links; the ERD module does not add a language preference cookie. Fonts are hosted locally. If optional services requiring consent are added, this information and the relevant choices must be updated.

Transfers and automated decisions

Contact ERD for details of hosting and email processing locations or the safeguards for any transfer outside the European Economic Area. The form does not make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. Send requests to l.bougard@erd-sprl.be.
